Betsy Hall and Sandy Keaton live in a beautiful North Park 1920 bungalow in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. In 2011 they decided to enlarge their original kitchen and add another bathroom for their two boys. The total addition was only 209 square feet, but it added just enough space to create a comfortable and usable kitchen that has become the heart of their house.
Betsy and Sandy knew the importance of building something that respects the original style and character of their home. The custom kitchen cabinets were designed to exactly match the original dimensions and colors. The new Kitchen was designed with a large central island, high ceilings, and tall windows. Red oak floors we used in the new Kitchen to match the rest of the house. With decorative subway tiles on the backsplash, and their original and refurbished Wedgewood stove, the addition looks like it has always been part of the original house. We even added shelves to display their collection of antique plates and serving dishes.
